London, United Kingdom — 25 October 2025 — Open Code Mission Limited, a global innovator in privacy-centric AI infrastructure and ethical data provenance, today announced DeNIL™ (Decentralized Name Image Likeness) — a new framework enabling individuals and organizations to discover, authenticate, and govern the use of their identity across digital ecosystems through agentic AI and verifiable cryptographic evidence.
DeNIL™ extends the company's flagship platform, OS Mission, integrating seamlessly with the Verum Sphere and Lumen data architecture. The framework empowers users to control how their name, image, and likeness are used across web, media, and agentic AI systems — anchored in transparency, consent, and immutable provenance.
"For decades, data about people has been treated as property of platforms," said Graham de Penros, Founder and Executive Chairman of Open Code Mission. "With DeNIL™, we invert that dynamic — returning identity control to its rightful owner and establishing the technical standard for self-sovereign representation in the age of agentic AI."
The DeNIL™ Difference
DeNIL™ builds on the company's verifiable data protocol and micro-DLT architecture to deliver:
Agentic Discovery: Autonomous AI crawlers identify where a person's name, image, or likeness appears across designated surfaces in real time.
User Control: Each encounter is presented as a verifiable Lumen in the DeNIL™ dashboard, allowing users to approve legitimate use or flag breach.
Automated Remediation: Policy-driven response paths (notify, preserve evidence, initiate escalation) execute securely within the Strand.
Privacy by Design: Strict PII protection, zero knowledge anchoring, and policy-gated retrieval ensure personal autonomy without compromising verification.
DeNIL™ is anchored on the @solana blockchain, for tamper-evidence and time-stamping of minimal pointers, while sensitive content remains encrypted and off-chain. The integration leverages OS Mission's secure capture → seal → store → anchor → verify pipeline and the Verum Sphere's context-preserving data taxonomy.
Availability
NILGUARD, the first product within the DeNIL™ Strand, enters Private Beta on 30 November 2025, with General Availability of OS Mission v1.0 following on Jan 31st, 2026
Participation in the Private Beta is limited to rights-holders, content creators, and enterprises operating in identity-sensitive domains.
Governance and Commitment
Open Code Mission maintains a rigorous ethics and governance framework encompassing data sovereignty, auditable consent, and accountable AI operation. The company continues to collaborate with academic, enterprise, and policy partners worldwide to advance privacy-respecting standards for agentic systems.
"We believe DeNIL™ will be a defining term for the next generation of identity governance," added de Penros. "Where NIL once belonged to sports contracts and licensing, DeNIL™ belongs to the future of digital autonomy."
Trademark Status
Open Code Mission confirms that DeNIL™ (Decentralized Name Image Likeness) is a proprietary term coined by the organization and is Trademark Pending. A good-faith web and industry scan found no prior usage of the term in this context; existing NIL references relate only to college athletics and isolated crypto projects. This press release does not constitute legal advice or confirmation of registration.
